Not all Fed speak is equal

One did not need a Wall Street Journal Survey of economic forecasters, I guess, to find out that it is Janet Yellen, the Chairwoman of the Fed, who is watched most by the markets for clues about future monetary policy. Still, a very useful survey on the usefulness of Fed speakers in gauging the course of monetary policy. Yellen tops the rankings, with Stanley Fischer second and William Dudley a close third.
